The interdisciplinary team is emphasized in this course. The role of the speech therapist as a member of the interdisciplinary team is described. Issues are highlighted, and concerns are expressed about a possible change in how the Speech Therapist offers services. A holistic approach to the patient with speech and communication problems is analyzed so that the interdisciplinary team can help s/he completely.
